
Greg Sandler is the Founder and Managing Principal of GLNJ Group, a healthcare consulting firm that helps health systems understand employer healthcare needs, develop workforce health strategies, strengthen employer relationships, and identify opportunities for growth, community impact, and economic development.
With more than 15 years of experience spanning healthcare, employer benefits, workforce health, and economic development, Greg is known for his ability to connect organizations, identify opportunities, and build practical strategies that create measurable value for employers, communities, and health systems.
Greg began his career in the direct-to-employer space as a benefits consultant. Early on, he partnered with Summit Medical Group—one of New Jersey’s most prestigious independent multi-specialty provider groups—and TPA MagnaCare to design and launch a self-insured health plan for employers in Central New Jersey. That formative experience revealed the powerful value proposition provider groups and health systems can offer when partnering directly with employers. Building on his benefits consulting background, Greg launched GLNJ Group to help healthcare organizations across the country develop these direct-to-employer strategies.
One of GLNJ Group’s early milestones was a collaboration with Montefiore Health System in New York. Greg partnered with the Population Health and Care Management team to design and launch a direct-to-employer program from the ground up. The initiative enabled Montefiore to deliver care directly to local businesses, universities, school districts, and government agencies—strengthening its presence in the community and diversifying its revenue. Greg also played a pivotal role in resolving a major payer dispute, leveraging these newly established employer partnerships to help restore in-network access for more than 60,000 commercially insured patients.
Greg is also deeply committed to economic development. He collaborates with health systems and regional development organizations to ensure that employers investing in a community receive proactive, coordinated support from local healthcare providers. His mission is to help health systems better understand workforce healthcare needs, strengthen employer relationships, and align healthcare resources with the needs of employers and communities.
